Duncan: 43 Weeks Old

This little man is 43 weeks old today! I feel like each week is going by so fast. My head is spinning! Or maybe it's just because I am chasing Duncan around in circles all day. :)

He is so handsome, so funny, so busy, so silly, and so exhausting! Always on the lookout for the next thing to destroy... Haha!

This week, Duncan's been busy getting into everything that he can reach and trying really hard to get to the things he can't. He can reach the tabletops with the tips of his fingers and he tries with all his might to pull himself up to see what's up there. It's amazing how tall he is all of a sudden!! He has no fear about going under chairs & shelves or wedging himself into nooks and crannies to get to things:

He eats like a horse and is finally picking up other finger foods besides Cheerios, puffs, and yogurt melts (which he still loves the most). He's still hesitant about picking up mushy things like bananas but he's picking up blueberries and pasta to feed himself which makes me happy! This week, he's tried new foods like ricotta cheese, fried plantains, and pinto beans and seems to like it all. He's a bottomless pit! Check out that belly!

He's been much noisier lately and practices his babbling quite a bit. It's so cute! I like this noise-making much more than the squealing he used to do for hours on end all day long!

Duncan loves any toy that has wheels/tires/propellors that spin. Much like he is obsessed with the stroller wheels. He is constantly inspecting them, spinning them, and watching them roll back and forth. :)

Duncan has outgrown the sleepsack this week so he's graduated to sleeping in just jammies. It was such a painless transition. He is such a big boy these days!

We've had another fun week with trips to Golden Gate Park, friends (Dipak, Devon, Jayshree, & Amit) over for dinner & playtime, and lots of Mommy & D walks to the park to enjoy the warm weather. It has been so gorgeous the last few days!

Thanks for a fabulous week, Duncan! You sure keep me on my toes. :) I love you more than you could ever know, punkin. You're my bestest bud. Happy 43 weeks!
