Duncan: 15 Weeks Old

Hello, Ladies...  Did ya miss me?

This handsome devil turned 15 weeks old yesterday! Yeah, this post is a day late but I'm sure you'll forgive Mommy since she's been sick with a yucky cold all week. I've been feeling pretty happy despite having my first cold. Just a little coughing and a snotty nose is all. I'm still playing hard and demanding attention from Mommy so she's a little on the tired side. We'll cut her some slack just this once.

I've had a really great week!  This week, I've:

-  had my very first all-out belly laugh! There were several in a 

    row, actually!  :)

-  stopped using my tummy pillow for tummy time. It's all me now!

-  definitely started teething! I've got my two bottom teeth showing

    white tips. :)

-  enjoyed reading with my Daddy! I just sit quietly and look at

    the pages so intently!

-  been rolling from my tummy to my back a lot! Mommy thinks it's

    just my lazy way of getting out of tummy time.

-  been doing sit-up exercises and working on my strong neck muscles.

    I love going from laying down to sitting up! It makes me smile! :)

-  been obsessed with my fists. I clasp them together super tight in

    front of my face and talk to them all crazy! Mommy and Daddy

    think I am trying to summon my dark powers...  :P

Duncan: 14 Weeks Old

I'm 14 weeks old already! Time sure flies, doesn't it?

This week has been a fun one! We went to visit my new 1-month old friend, Liam, and he is the CUTEST! Wouldn't it have been nice if Mommy hadn't forgotten the camera? I promise to remind her to bring it next time we go see him. They live in the city, too, so we'll be having lots of play dates! He's so precious and quiet... Mommy says she can't remember when I was like that, but I guess that's what sleep-deprivation does to you.

Also this week, I had some fun visitors! TJ, Angira, Saheli, and Kian brought dinner over and hung out with us. I've never had another little guy in my house before! I couldn't take my eyes off of him, he was all over the place! That's why I am always looking off camera in these photos (And why there's no photos of him! He was so busy!):

I really like to grab at my toys this week! I always try to bring them to my mouth, but they resist.

Mommy tried the Bumbo seat with me this week, but it's probably going to have to wait a couple more weeks. I'm still a little bobble-headed and I was mainly distracted by my feet the whole time:

I'm also BIG into spitting this week. Like BIG time. And ALL the time. I am constantly blowing raspberries and spit bubbles and spraying Mommy and Daddy in the face. I think it's hilarious!

Duncan: 3 Months Old

"3" onesie made by: Cousin Ha

I'm 13 weeks old today! OR better yet, I'm 3 months old!  :)

Mommy crammed me into this "3" onesie today and she laughed a lot about it. I was not impressed. So what if my arms could barely fit through the armholes and the sleeves were all crunched up in my armpits? Or that she could barely get it around my belly and buttoned at the bottom? I think I look quite dapper!

I hit some fun milestones this week:
-  I am reaching and grabbing at my toys
-  I get super excited when my favorite toys or books are shown to me
    (my monkey, my lion, Daddy reading Hop On Pop)

I just love this silly Monkey dude.

-  I moved up to Size 2 diapers!
-  I had my first car trip without screaming in my car seat!
    (Granted, it was going home from somewhere and I was tired and
    it was a short trip)
-  I Skyped with my Great-Grandmother & my cousin, Dustin, for
    the first time!
-  I love sucking on my fists! ALL the time...

Mommy seems to think that my hands are ALWAYS in my mouth. I don't know why she thinks that...

 

Ok, enough with the funny stuff. There's nothing else to report since we've had a pretty laid-back week. Our biggest adventures were trips to Trader Joe's and to Mommy's check-up, which included a walk to the Embarcadero for lunch, even though her appointment got rescheduled when we got to the doctor's office. I didn't mind because I love being carried around in the front pack.  :)

Duncan: 12 Weeks Old

Happy New Year! I'm a 12 week old cutie pie today!  :)

Today is also my Auntie Heather's birthday! I miss her so much. She was so good with me over Thanksgiving. I just love her!

Happy Birthday, Auntie! Can't wait to see you in February!  :)

So this week, I am officially moved into my crib. I have been sleeping in it since the very first time Ma & Pa moved me and haven't looked back since. I am getting better at sleeping in it for longer periods at night and Mommy & Daddy are almost ready to leave the nursery and go back to sleeping in their own room. I think Mommy has separation anxiety and is stalling about moving back to her room.  ;)

This last week has also been filled with loads of fun and more new faces! Our friend, Karen, was in town and came to visit me! She's very cool and she's going to be my future surfing instructor. I can't wait to hit the water with her. Daddy says she's awesome!  :)

I rang in the New Year at my new friend Jack's house and I was such a good baby that Mommy & Daddy were able to enjoy the party. We even stayed until after midnight! It was so much fun. Thanks, Jack, for sharing your toys & spare bassinet with me. I totally dug your tuxedo onesie. You're my hero!

Daddy had to go back to work yesterday and I miss him lots! It sure was nice to have him home for an entire week. I LOVE hanging out with him so much (even if it seems like he's always wearing the same Broncos sweatshirt when he's at home)! My favorite is sitting in his lap while he reads Hop on Pop to me.  :)

This week, I've discovered that I REALLY like to suck on my hands. My fists are constantly in my mouth and I am pretty much a drooly mess 100% of the time now. I have also discovered that I like to lick things. Everything. Tummy time has turned into "licking the tummy pillow" sessions for me. Mommy is not impressed with my laziness about raising my head, but I kind of enjoy just lying there and licking my frog pillow until it's a soggy mess. It's fun.  :)

Well, the Christmas tree has been put away, all the decorations are boxed up and back in the garage, and we are ready to enjoy 2012. My maternal grandparents come back to the States in 5 days and I am SO excited to meet them when we go back to Colorado in February. They are gonna LOVE me, I'm sure of it.  :)

How can they not with my talent for making awesome faces?

Yea, I'm awesome. It's going to be a very fun 2012!!  :)
