Duncan: 37 Weeks Old

This little crawling monster is 37 weeks old today! He is pretty much into everything this week. We are in so much trouble!

Such an innocent little face. You wouldn't know that he likes to get into just about anything he can get his hands on. Then it's time to commence destruction. :) This is pretty much all I see anymore as I am chasing him around the house:

This guy does not have a pause button. I am burning calories like crazy keeping up with him all day! Thank goodness for naps! Sometimes, though, he makes my work a little easier by crawling at me rather than away from me. :)

This week:
-  He's eating baby puffs (sweet potato flavor). He is still lazy about
picking them up on his own, but he loves to have them put in his
mouth by Mommy or Daddy. He also doesn't like to eat them whole
    but in smaller pieces.
-  We baby proofed Duncan's play area (i.e. living & dining rooms).
We also gated him off from the hallway to bedrooms & baths. So
    much work!
-  We said goodbye to wearing the drooly bib all day! His drooling has
    FINALLY lightened up. Yay!
-  We found out that Duncan does not like grass. He would crawl as far
as the edge of the blanket, but as soon as his hands touched the grass,
he was just one big grimace. So funny!

We had a lot of fun despite all the work cleaning and baby proofing for our newly turbo-charged & highly mobile baby boy. We had a couple park outings over the weekend and enjoyed more nice weather. At home, we've been playing hard and getting big giggles, laughs, and hugs from the little guy. :)

Here are some fun photos from our week for your enjoyment:

Yea, I know what you're thinking: That stain from the stewed blueberries ain't ever coming out of that bib. Well, at least that's what I'm thinking... Haha!  :P

Duncan: 36 Weeks Old

This guy turned 36 weeks old today! Check out those cute chompers!

This last weekend was all about the Dads. We had a fun day on Sunday to celebrate Matthew's first Father's Day! Matt has been an amazing father since day 1 and we love him so much! Duncan and I got him some cool presents that I think he really loved. We also made him a batch of super fudgy brownies to enjoy on his special day. :)

Continuing with "all about the Dads" weekend, Matt's dad, Tony, was in town to spend Father's Day afternoon with us so it was so cool to have 3 generations hanging out together. Duncan loves whenever Granddad visits! They are good buds. :)

We had an afternoon at the beach planned so that Daddy could grill burgers and play in the sand, but the weather turned foggy, windy, and cold by afternoon so we ended up making burgers and enjoying our picnic goodies indoors. It was just as yummy but without the fun of grilling. The dads seemed perfectly happy with their blue cheese burgers, potato salad, melons, & brownies at home, so it was all  good. Such is the San Francisco life!

In other 36th week news, Duncan and I went to our first play group this week! We went to music play group at Day One Center just around the corner from our house with our friends, baby Liam, baby Elise, and their Mommies. Duncan seemed to like it even though he looked a little overwhelmed at first. It was the most kids we've seen in one place in all his life! We enjoyed the play time and being with all those other babies, so we're definitely gonna go again. :)

Our buddy, Liam.
Elise is the cutie in the background
(center) banging on the drum. :)

Duncan was digging the guitar
(until the fast & loud song). :)

This week Duncan has been:
-  Crawling around like crazy! And so fast! He still creeps along & drags
himself most times, but he is definitely using those hands and knees
in proper crawling form a lot, too!
-  Cracking up at Daddy's dance moves. I am in tears every time he
starts laughing like a maniac while his Daddy dances. It's hilarious!!
-  Helping us turn the pages on his board books! It's so awesome.
-  Eating blueberries, cantaloupe, cauliflower, parsnips, and chicken!
-  The destroyer of towers! He will crawl on over at top speed if he sees
a tower built from his stacking cups or blocks just to knock them
    down. So funny!
-  Into everything!! Childproofing is in order ASAP!

Duncan: 35 Weeks Old

Check out the smiliest little man we know! Yeah, we did post yesterday, but today Duncan is officially 35 weeks old and we'll share some other photos from our week. I'm sure no one will mind. :)

Duncan laughs and smiles A LOT. He cracks up at the most random things and eventually gets us all giggling uncontrollably. It's pretty awesome.

He loves peekaboo games, loud noises, and exploring the living room & dining room now that he can get around so fast with that army crawl he does. He's right on the verge of crawling and has even gotten 2 or 3 steps forward a couple times! When he's not moving forward or backward, he likes to do this plank move:

His hair is still awesome and doesn't lie flat EVER. Well, that's not true. It DOES stay down during bath time. So I like to style it for him in a very handsome fashion in the tub.  :)

We had a couple fun outings over the weekend, which included shopping and lunch in Union Square and an afternoon at the SF Botanical Gardens in Golden Gate Park. The weather was SO nice over the weekend and it was perfect for being outside.  :)

Duncan was such a good little guy on both days and we had the best time! We love these awesome weather days. Keep them coming! It makes for a happy 8 month old, I think.  :)

We hope everyone had a fun weekend, too! We are looking forward to Father's Day weekend coming up and we'll have Granddad Tony here with us. It'll be a 3-generation Father's Day. Cool!  :)

See you all next week!

Tam
