Duncan: 10 Months Old

Duncan is 10 months old!

He actually turned 10 months yesterday but we were busy celebrating at the zoo so we missed our monthly photo session. But today was perfect for 10 month photos because his hair was crazy wild! :)

Time sure flies when you're having fun with a silly little dude like Duncan! We've had an awesome month. Each month is filled with milestones and he's been such a joy to watch. He's such a character!

What Duncan's been up to this month:
-  Mastered pulling up to stand, cruising, AND sitting back down. He
    is pretty self-sufficient at moving around the house on his own. He is
    trouble, I tell ya!
-  Self-feeding! He's picking up foods and feeding himself. He likes to
    feed himself Cheerios, puffs, yogurt melts, whole blueberries, mango,
    and pasta. It is so cute to watch!
-  He's moved passed purees and is eating all sorts of big people foods
    now & loves them all. Meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, brown rice,
    pasta, oatmeal, beans, all sorts of fruits & veggies... He loves to eat!
-  He's babbling A LOT. Saying "Ya Ya Ya" or "Na Na Na" and the
    occasional "Da Da Da" to make Daddy happy. :) We can't wait for
    those first real words to come out!
-  Conquered his fear of grass. Now he'll crawl out in a field of grass at
    the park and forget how far away he is from us. lol
-  Graduated out of sleeping in his sleep sack. I miss that cute little
    bundle of baby! But he's just as cute sleeping in his little jammies. :)
-  He understands so many things we say or ask. It's so fun getting his
    responses and knowing that he understands and can communicate
    back with body language, gestures, and looks. That's the best!

Today's photo session was slightly easier than last months because he is obsessed with my camera strap. So I just gave it to him to play with and it kept him sitting in one spot for a few minutes. A few minutes is A LOT to ask of this little guy who does not sit still all day long. I was thankful to be able to snap a handful of shots before he took off again to find something else to mess with. :)

Thanks for another fabulous month of Mommyhood, little guy! You sure are a blast to hang out with! I can't wait to see what you come up with in the coming month. And I can't believe you're going to be a year old soon!! You are growing up way too fast...
